About Ranabaali (2026)

Ranabaali (2026) is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language period action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, the film takes audiences into a turbulent historical era shaped by power, resistance and the fight for freedom.

Set against the rugged landscape of 19th-century South India, Ranabaali follows a fearless rebel who refuses to surrender before an oppressive colonial system. Vijay Deverakonda steps into the role of Ranabaali, a fierce warrior whose personal struggle gradually develops into a larger battle for his people. Rashmika Mandanna plays Jayamma, an important figure in his journey, while Arnold Vosloo portrays British officer Sir Theodore Hector, bringing a formidable adversary into the story.

The film aims to blend large-scale action with emotion, romance and historical drama rather than relying on spectacle alone. Its period setting, intense confrontations and rebellious central character give Ranabaali the scope of an epic while keeping its story rooted in human conflict.

Adding another layer to the film is the music of Ajay-Atul, whose compositions are expected to complement its grand historical atmosphere and emotionally charged narrative.

With Vijay Deverakonda in a rugged period avatar, Rashmika Mandanna in a prominent role and Rahul Sankrityan behind the camera, Ranabaali stands out as one of the notable Telugu period action films of 2026. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 16 October 2026.
